WHAT WE BELIEVE

cross for site.jpg

We believe the Holy Bible is God’s true word to humanity (2 Timothy. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20, 21).

We believe there is one God: eternal, holy, living, omnipresent, omnipotent, Creator. We know him as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption and the Holy Spirit in regeneration (Deuteronomy. 6:4, 1 Timothy 1:17; Leviticus. 19:2, 1 John 4:8; Hebrews. 4:13, Revelation. 19:6; Jer. 23:24; John 4:24; Colossians. 1:16).

We believe in the great commission and are endeavouring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew. 28:19)

We believe in repentance of sin which results in forgiveness of our sins. We acknowledge that we are saved by grace through faith and that our salvation is a gift from God (Ephesians.2:8, 9).

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. We are buried with him in baptism and thereby identify with his death (Acts 2:38, Romans.6:3-6).

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:38) with signs following. The gift of the Holy Spirit will bring forth both the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians. 5:22-23) and the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians. 12).

We believe we are to live a victorious life respecting the Holiness of God (1 Peter 1:14-16, 2 Corinthians. 7:1).

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to receive His people to himself and establish his eternal kingdom (John 14:3, Matthew. 25:34).
